How high can you store materials on pallets and safety of pallets.

According to The United States of Labor , all materials stored in tiers shall be stacked, racked, blocked, interlocked, and secured to prevent sliding, falling or collapse . Materials stored inside buildings under construction shall not be placed within 6 feet of any hoist way or inside a floor openings, or should not be placed within 10 feet of an exterior wall. Depending on the height of the frames and the space of the beams. High rise storage systems can reach 100 feet, however for a typical rack its 20-25 feet.

Storage areas should be kept free from accumulation of materials that creates hazards from tripping, pest hideout, fire or explosion.
